    [Jamming] Sr 3070 sc 798-04

I have a mp3352 with a sr3070 finisher jamming at 166 (exit motor) resulting in a sc 798-04 which is stack feed out motor error. Can't really see any blockages in the stack feed out mechanism. When it jams paper just sits there In the stack section and doesn't feed out on to the tray. Everything turns fine by hand. Any ideas??
    Thanks

Could be the stack feed out Home Position sensor or the feed out motor. Since the paper stays on the staple table and does not feed out, I would say either the motor or the feed out belt is missing one of the feed out arms. The jam does not cause the SC. Finisher SC are first shown as jams and then if immediately repeated the SC is displayed.

I have the feed out motor on order. The 2 feed out arms are attached to the belt and are fine.

Could you give us the part number for the feed out arm? So I can see what you mean. Thanks

Is that the one you clear by letting the tray drop to the lowest position, then restarting the machine? (From memory, one C-clip to dis engage the gear from the lift motor on the shaft that runs inside along the bottom of the unit.)

              Hello everyone again

im still having an issue with this finisher sr3070 on a mp3352.
the error sc798-4 (stack feed out motor error)
customer says it always happen first thing in the morning. First it jams at code 166 (exit motor) and then at second attempt it throws an error code. Switch machine off/on and it works.
Firmware on machine and finisher are upto date.
feed out motor and lift motor are replaced with no effect.

Home me position sensor and stack feed out guides are all in place.

any help would be appreciated. Thanks

My guess would be that the machine is getting colder than it likes over night. This is causing the stack feed out motor to run too slow the first couple of times. Try a light oil on the bushings for the stack feed out belt drive. Watch oil or sewing machine oil should work. Do not use WD40 as it can become gummy. Also avoid 3in1 oil as it can dry out and leave a lacquer film.
