SRAM problem occured on mpc2030

hi
i am trying to get a mpc2030 copier tht i picked up 5 months ago running.
comes up wth SRAM problem occured,,and then SRAM was formatted.
i ran the fax service mode command to format the sram and rebooted..still comes up..
plus i can ping ip address on machine and log on it but cant print..but can scan
di the nib turned command and also updated all firmware..
any input appreciated
cked the formatter and reseated the pc2100 memory card..
no sd cards on these??

try accessing the address book from user tools, like your going to program a new entry. Then exit the UT and power it off and then after a few seconds power it back on. This works on some of the older Ricoh's.....

after googling some more info i found the small piggy back brd "mbr brd?" on the fax option had a dead 3v battery,
commonon office machines for what i ve seen..ie panafax uf890 etc..
i cut the metal tabs and soldered a new cr2035 battery in place.still cant print to this.so far no more sram issues and copy quality seems to be a missing pressure spring on the charge roller assembly so it doesnt touch the drum..
of course i cant find the old one anywhere..
will update once i get it running...

iirc these machines don't support pcl so make sure you use the rpcs drivers. also wouldnt hurt to telnet in and do an access flush.

If you can ping and access the WIM but can't print, chances are the access control is turned on. Log in to WIM and under security click on "access control", turn it all back to 0.0.0.0. and you should be in business.

i logged on WIM.and it was set to zeroes but somehow b4 that it started to print..
moody at best..i did the same resets today as yesterday and now 45 mins later
it woke up..swapped out patch cable,reinstalled drivers etc..
and nothing worked,but now it prints..go figure..
at least i can get my bills out..i printed to pcl wth the mpc2050 i had hooked up before and thought the mpc2030 was
same,more or less engine....
