    SR 790 on a MP C4501

    Hi,All. I am installing a 790 finisher onto a D089 C4501, which is possible with the latest firmware, which I have. The problem is the firmware has a mot extension vs a fwu, and the machine does not recognize the data. How do I get this mot firmware loaded onto the finisher rom?

      If it is firmware for the finisher itself, it might require a stand alone eeprom burner in order to update the eeprom. You might be better off ordering the eeprom with the newest firmware from parts.

      I did a little searching for the MOT extension. It might be a firmware loader format.

          Well, Tim, I think I got lucky on this one. I just slapped the finisher on and ran the heck out of it with no problems. The firmware version on the finisher is the first version, so I'm a little leery about why it's working so well.
