I just starting having this problem. I installed a new cartridge in my Ricoh MP4500 about two weeks ago and it was working fine. Today I starting having a misprint on the pages and I opened the cartridge and found that its cap was off and the toner was dumped in the cartridge area. I installed the cap back and cleaned all the toner and printed about 50 pages and having still misprint on the page. I had a new drum and cleaning blade couple of month ago and may be made about 5000 copies on it. Would someone please let me know if it is the toner cartridge or some other problem. thanksFile0013.PDFFile0014.PDFFile0015.PDF

Re: Ricoh MP4500SP - Misprint
You most likely have toner on the laser shield glass. Remove the toner tray, PCU and Development unit. Vacuum out all spewed toner both on the toner tray, development unit, PCU and inside the machine. This is to prevent any toner from falling into the laser unit when the shield glass is removed to clean. Once all toner has been removed from inside the machine, remove the laser shield glass and clean it.Comment
