error sc 530-04

can someone confirm sc 530 -04 code its says its the fan to be replaced or is it the board g178 5304 for ricoh pro c720

The Service Manual says it is a Paper Cooling Fan 3 error. The diagnostic was to check the fan harness and pull the Fuser Unit OUt and then back IN to see if it corrects the problem. Output check SP 5804 - 061 should run the fan. I can't find the part number you listed at all on my parts catalog. I would verify that nothing is obstructing the fan first and possibly swap it with a fan from elsewhere in the machine as this product uses many of the same fans through out. I believe this fan is mounted below the Fuser Unit on the "bed" of the machine (check your Point to Points to be sure). PCB's are expensive and I would only replace it when all else fails - it sounds like you haven't done any preliminary diagnostics at this point?

i can not locate this fan i found all of the rest of them but i cant locate this one is it under the fusing unit?

Paper cooling fan 3 is item 8 on the diagram. None of the fusing fans are shown on the page.

all good with the paper cooling fan now just have sc 558 for an error

Check for paper in oil supply unit on the fuser.

i replaced the oil pumps and cleaned out the oil also still have the error SC 558 what step should i take next the oil application unit was all cleaned out and the lines are clear too!!!
