    MPC3503 Doc Feeder Jams (DF3090)

    Hello All,

Iv had quite a few of these of machines not separating the paper in the doc feeder, then causing a jam.
After removing the jam and closing the top door, the paper feed assembly Judders loudly up and down.
Iv already replaced the Separation roller, torque limiter, feed roller etc. Any ideas?

Take the panel off the back of the doc feeder so that you can see the motors, solenoids, and gears. Then run adf auto run in service mode and see what isn't working right. You can also isolate each part further by using adf output settings turning on individual motors. You should be able to get a better look and find the problem (service mode 6xxx)

I am having the same problem. All motors and sensors are working and it seems to be intermittent. I notice if you hold down the adf cover the machine feeds fine with no noise.

There is a black switch located on rear under doc feeder cover. Iv noticed that when the lid is closed the switch is not engaged fully.

Added an extra cushion to the part above my finger (see pic).

Also.. i think most of our customers with these machines are solicitors. Thinking it might just be fussy with whats put through it.
