Initialize the NVRAM (SP5801-001) and HDD unit (SP5832-001)
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Woooooh there !! Do NOT run SP 5801 unless you want a whole heap of trouble. This will reset all engine SP settings back to before factory adjustments and probably screw up your dev at least.

You could format HDD but better off running SP 5846-047 this will just wipe the address book

Hold down the "COPY" key while you turn on the machine. I saw that on this site somewhere and it's stuck with me. I've yet to try it, but it's supposed to put all of the settings back to factory Default.

Only works for certain printer models!

On top of wiping the address book in SP mode (5846-047)

Go into system settings > administrator tools > Page 2 and select 'delete all data in document server'.

Then go back to user tools, hold the # key and select system settings. It'll then ask if you want to reset to factory default settings. Do this and all your data should be removed (repeat for fax, scanner, printer etc.)

If you have a fax installed, the transmission log will need to be formatted in Service Mode.

This is what I do before testing or refurbing any copier.

                  Hope this helps,
                  Peace

                    WTF dude?
                    Seriously?
In Factory mode just clear UCS and User settings SP...job done and you haven't had to do a clear all.
