You must not be a trained Ricoh tech and you obviously do not have access to a service manual. Entering service is a vary basic operation done at almost every service call. It is covered in the manual.

Agreed! I would just add that it also requires virtually no resourcefulness to find the answer.

Your right. I'm Canon trained and trying to help a friend who has no Ricoh service contract, because he's getting out of the business, but has a job to run. I thought I would receive some help and a friendlier response from all.As you said it's a very simple question.If your Ricoh trained

I know this of course started out on Ricoh's. Just for kick i googled it took me 10 seconds to find.

I tried that 1st and couldn't get an answer .Some irrelevant answers and a lot of ads. To say I made no effort is false .I tried Google then copytechnet. When I got to Copytechnet I got no help from techs who know the answer but are judgemental.I came here for help.

Use Google Chrome to search and then look in the dropdown list while you type to get to the right place.

When someone with red cards and no rep power asked for something, we assume that he/she is a taker and not someone who is here to help others. If you want to get respect you have to earn it. Since you are Canon trained, start trying to help on the Canon forum. The more help you give, you will start earning green cards and rep power.
