Aficio 1515 blank area on 8.5x14

This problem is very intermittent. In the middle of a copy job with legal paper a few prints will be blank for about the last 1 inch or so. It will have image past the 11 inch mark so I don't think the scanner is miss reading the length? It is total blank not just light. I have tried to get the customer to upgrade but they are resisting so far.

My first thought would be the erase lamps maybe some toner in the back of the copier on the PCB or maybe it the PCU. The PCU would be easy nto just pop one in there and try. Good luck.
