I have this problem with SR3000 Finisher where there is a paper jam as soon as it hits the finisher entrance. this does not happen all the time its inconsistent and i have noticted more when the tray's are getting close to empty. i have checked the sensors they are all working the motors are working properly i cant seem to figure out what the issue could be.

Re: SR3000 Jamming at entrance
could be a few things.
On top of what Max said, I'd check the entrance guide on the finisher. Sometime they get bent and this can cause intermittent entrance jams.
Secondly, the bridge unit 'door closed' sensors can become faulty and cause jams when the machine shakes (tap the bridge unit hard whilst it's copying and you should get a jam)
and last of all, if the paper is low in the machine, do you think that it could be old paper that is curling and thus jamming when transitioning to the finisher.
This is all conditional, based on you making sure it's clamped in place and is nice and straight. I've had uneven floors cause the finisher to lean slightly in relation to the BU exit.Comment

Re: SR3000 Jamming at entrance
What is the jam number that you are getting? Is it an accordion jam or is the finisher entrance where the lead edge of the paper is stopping at? The paper path sensor in the bridge unit not detecting the lead edge of the paper will give a jam and the lead edge of the paper will be between the last set of rollers in the bridge unit and the entrance to the finisher. A finisher entrance motor or entrance sensor going bad will give a jam indication with the lead edge of the paper just past the finisher entrance rollers.Comment
