    Ricoh MPC2030 SRAM Problem

I have a machine which is showing the message " SRAM Problem Occurred " then says " SRAM Formatted ". and keeps recurring over and over again. The machine prints, scans and copies fine, the quality is really good and this message doesn't seem to affect the machine in anyway, but the customer has noticed it flashing and I guess at some stage it will start to cause a problem. Has anyone seen this before, and know how to fix it, is it a new SRAM module (if these are available) or new Firmware??

    Thanks all in advance

I assume that you have the Type C2530 Fax module installed, if so and is not being used you can remove it. Otherwise, check that the jumper is in the ON position, the battery has some charge and that the fax board is properly seated into the controller. If all good, the message will clear when you reboot the copier.

Hiya, thanks for your reply. Yes it does have a fax module fitted and the customer no longer uses it so i thought great i can remove it. I powered everything off, and removed it from the machine, but when i switched the machine back on i get the message that there is 'address book data error'. Ive gone through the address book on the webpage and deleted the users which were there but the message still shows. If i put the fax board back, this message goes away but the SRAM error returns!! The jumper was in the right place and the battery seems ok?
