[Misc] RIcoh 3245c - scan to folder on win 7

Hi all. After many painfull hours of work, i can't get this machine to scan to a pc with win 7. Searching through older similar topics, found out that many of you use Filezilla FTP Server for this kind of things. I need the steps how to get it to work,please. Thanks

Have you installed the latest firmware

No. I read that installing the latest firmware might get it to work, but i'm afraid it will mess thing up on other pc's. I'll try this too , if it worked for you. Still, i don't have the firmware. Any links for download,please?

Once set, Go to the address book in the WIM, and change the protocol from SMB to FTP, enter the STATIC IP of the PC in the "Server name" field, and the name of the sub-folder (if you've created any) in the "Path" field

Hi. So again, i'm having trouble scanning through this damn machine. Don't know what happened but : if i ping the pc from the copier, it replies. From the pc i can enter my ftp shared folder through google chrome. The only thing that changed was the ip adress from the pc, but even with the new adress, it still doesn't work. From the machines's web interface, i see that ftp is "disabled". Any idea if this is the issue? How do i enable it?

I'm asking again for your help since i haven't managed to fix this damn scan to folder problem. The thing is i managed to get it to work with filezilla. Everything worked great. After about 3 weeks, the copier cant' scan to ftp anymore. A new pc arrived, win 7/64 bit, same issue. If i ping the computer from the copier, it replies. Under the settings tab in web monitor, ftp is disabled. I can't get smb scan to work because of credentials. Used every tip to get it to work. Still no result. So , my question is : any ideas why even scan to ftp won't work? I tried with no antivirus on one pc, no firewall, all permissions set. Still the message " the mfp can't find the specified path". If i browse network, i can see every pc. But can't get smb or ftp scan to work. Should i reset the nic? Should i change the firmware? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Give up on SMB on this beast unless you're sure you have the proper firmware.
For FTP: The PC must have static IP set, and point the FTP toward that IP address.
Port 21 must be opened in Windows Firewall (if active), for the FTP server o work.
As for windows 7 64-bit. No problem.
Windows 8 is not an issue either.

Filezilla FTP is my default fallback when I have trouble with SMB at times. It ALWAYS works.

I don't have static ip on any of those pc's. If in web monitor, ftp is disabled, is that an issue?

Again, another problem with this damn machine. Can't log in WIM. Either with admin or supervisor account. Even with static ip on pc, the machine doesn't want to scan to ftp. Any ideas how to log in WIM? I tried to reset ncs, but still doesn't work. I'm really in a trouble here. Please help me. Any ideas are greatly apreciated. Btw, i can't reset accounts through sp7-810. Don't have this sp mode, even if before pressing the copy sp button i press #. How the hell do i reset the password? NVRAM reset maybe?

No NVRAM clear will not clear admin or supervisor passwords. There are a number threads on this forum covering how to clear admin and supervisor. Do some searching.
