    ricoh 1013 wrecks p.u's

Hi guys ,sounds a bit sexist sorry,
I'm a newbie and theres always reasons for joining forums...help!!!
I have about 6x ricoh1013s out in field that wreck new p.u's after approx 3/4k copies.2 or 3 are low mileage.background on both sides with couple of cross lines on rear of page leads to jams at ht at times.New p.u and quality is excellent again...all contacts clean and ok.Any suggestions much appreciated

Tell your customers to use the CORRECT Ricoh genuine toner.

NP. Thats the only thing I can think of.

Are the 6 different units having the same problem at the same site or are they in separate places and unrelated?

When the p.u.'s fail, are they pulling developer? I have seen some of these with problems related to transfer roller cleaning current. They will start to pull developer, and cause background on the rear side of the copy when the roller becomes contaminated with toner. Try messing with the transfer cleaning current, increase or decrease it and see if it makes a difference. I usually end up reducing it to the minimum current value, but not always. Hope this points you in the right direction.
Don't take that toner with me!
