    MP C5000 color reproduction

i have a 5000 that prints the colors fine (according to customer), but when copying, the colors are off. i have duplicated this.

the main color is a light blue but when copied comes out with purple in it. the gray is not reproduced at all.

i have ran color calibrations and line adjustments. when going to sp and printing the color chart, the half tone goes down to 16, but when it copies, only goes down to 32.

i'm leaning towards ccd...any other thoughts or suggestions.

Get the birth certificate from front cover and set sp4685-001 002 sp4686 001 002 and sp4687 001 and 002 to the values on the factory data sheet.

Any time you run color calibration, you have to first make sure that the optics are clean, especially the mirrors and the lens over the ccd. The ccd can only reproduce what it sees. Ricoh also recommends placing ten sheets of white paper on top of the calibration sheet before scanning.
