    mpc5000 color reproduction

i have a customer that has printed out an excel spreadsheet with color on it, light blue, grey, light green and pink. the print job comes out fine. but make a copy of it and the light blue has more purple in it and the grey is non-existant and the pink comes out a little more magenta.

i have ran acc several times, line force, and the test page out of the printer sp all are printing fine. so the problem is in the copy side. i'm leaning towards ccd, but ricoh tech support is telling me to replace developer in all four. (dont think they have ever been changed). machine has over 400k on color alone, 600k on black.

    any suggestions?

    thanks!

If the print comes out fine and the copy is bad, try to change the original type on the copy settings. Also, if you scan it, how does it look on the pc?
    Clean the optics.

Clean the mirrors and cycle power. Then run Auto Color Calibration in User Tools - Maintenance.

You may want to replace the drum units if they are towards end of life
i have had similar problems with Ricoh's when drums are worn
machines still print good quality but when copying they produce poor quality

If possible, please share pictures of copies that are mostly the four primary colors (black, yellow, magenta and cyan). If the machine has the ability to convert colors, use that to convert white to the primary colors. That will help us provide useful information.

Try turning the "auto density" off on the op panel. This has fixed color matching problems a couple of times for me. If that fixes it you can set it as default with the program button.
