I am in an office with 3 networked ricoh aficio mp c5501 pcl 6 printers. On 1 of three and only 1 of the three, the web image monitor will not load. The printer works, people can print, scan and fax, but when I go to the web image monitor, all I get is a blank page. Can someone help? Thank You

Re: web image monitor will not load
If I understand your question, only 1 computer cannot load the WIM page, correct? I have had some issue with IE x64 versions, try a 32 bit browser, Firefox Rocks!Comment

Re: web image monitor will not load
Are you IT?
Check you have the problem machine in your firewall or server white list and ports 80,8080, 443 ect.
Is the problem machine a secure machine in a locked room ? Is it on the same network/subnet as the other machines?
Can you ping or telnet to the machine?Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Re: web image monitor will not load
I am responsible for IT in the office, though my training was a 30 yrs ago, and I did not keep it current. I did download the manual to the printer, I think I can figure these things out.
None of the 3 machines are in locked rooms, anybody can operate them. Though the machines are placed so people use the machine closest to them, only a couple are set up on more than 1 printer. They are all on the same network.
Yes, the problem machine does ping. When I go to the problem page I do not get a page won't load error messgage, Its just a blank white screen.
If i reload the firmware, do I lose the address book? This was done before I started working here, and I have no backup. Should I have a backup of the address books in the other printers?
I do not believe it is related to the browser because the other 2 machines web image monitors work fine. I have tried Chrome version 37 and IE version 8.0. These are the most recent versions I am permitted to use because of conflicts with company software. Because I also must run an older version of flash, firefox will not run at all.
I should say I am using Windows 7 EnterpriseComment

Re: web image monitor will not load
Reloading/updating the firmware wont affect the address book. May want to call a tech for the firmware if you're not 100% sure what you're doing or don't have access to the firmware...
If you're responsible for the machines having a backup of the address book for each machine would be a good idea imo.
When you try and load the WIM and get the blank screen what's in the address bar? does it start with http or https?Comment

Re: web image monitor will not load
There is no http when i load it. The address bar contains 10.176.248.26/web/guest/en/websys/webArch/mainFrame.cgi for the one that will not load and 10.176.248.24/web/guest/en/websys/webArch/mainFrame.cgi and 10.176.248.23/web/guest/en/websys/webArch/mainFrame.cgi for the ones that will load.Comment

Re: web image monitor will not load
A couple of questions:
There's no mention that you've tried to log in via multiple PC's (unless I missed it). Same result?
Have you connected a laptop directly to the machine and tried to log in? This might help isolate any network firewall issues with that specific connection.Comment

Re: web image monitor will not load
Yes, I have tried with 3 different computers, the results are all the same. I can wire a computer directly to the printer? Gotta look that up. Do i need the web image monitor? I have been reading the manual, and it appears i can do everything right on the machine. Is this true?Comment

Re: web image monitor will not load
Can you telnet to the machine and login with password ?
You've most likely got a "blocked service" or "blocked IP" range in your firewall settings.
Correct the IP range in your software firewall or your router firewall or change you MFD IP address back inside the firewall service range.Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

Re: web image monitor will not load
I agree with the folks about checking the SP's mentioned & the security settings in User Tools.
Just wanted to tell you how to backup the Addy book. You definitely want to do that.
Login thru the web - default login User = admin (case sensitive) leave password blank.
Go to the Address Book page.
At the top of the page is a MAINTENANCE button/icon.
Select the backup option & browse to where you want to save it.Comment
