Ricoh 9002 ADF accordian jams intermittently

Customer has issue with ADF. She says it will accordian fold the first document through the ADF often. Doesn't matter if it's 1 sheet or 50 sheets. These are just 20lb. paper, never been stapled. I can't ever duplicate the problem but I see they have tons of ADF jams on the SMC report. Sometimes 5 in a day sometimes 500 between jams. Have replaced the rollers and belts as well as one way clutches and torque limiters. Sensors test good but that doesn't mean much when it's working. Anybody have this issue?

I haven't seen or heard of it on the 02 series, but the 01's had an issue with accordion jams at the belt.

If its happening later in the d.f. I have seen the slit glass fitted the wrong way around and the dust seal catch the paper. Can't visualise this d.f./ slit glass combination properly without being in front of one though sorry.

Replace the transport drive motor. Had them bad on the 01 series.

I have had luck with bending the cover latch post down so it puts more pressure on the feed asy.
