[Misc] Skip white page while scanning on MPC4501

I tried to skip the white page's while a customer is scanning.
When i looked in scanner features i see the option Blank page detect.
I tryed both on and off but the customer still receive the blanco page.

Is there anyone who has the solution to get the blank pages get skipped ?

    Kind regards,

    Mitch

This function i believe is to detect if in a stack of pages loaded into the ADF to detect if one of them is upside down and only the first page not subsequent ones.

    User manual states

    Blank Page Detect

"Use the Blank Page Detect function to prevent blank pages being scanned.

If the first page of the originals is blank, the machine beeps to warn you that you might have placed blank originals.

When the Blank Page Detect function is set to [On], the outermost 1mm of an original’s edge border cannot be scanned.
Blank pages of custom size originals may not be detected.
This function is available only for scanning from the ADF.
The machine cannot perform blank page detection on the second or subsequent pages of an original."

This is available as a $600 plus option on the Mpcxxx3 series, I dont know if its available for earlier models. Its part of an Sd card Ocr option - however in my experience it may have some issues.

So all things considered it's a pretty useless function as it does not work in the way you would imagine.

Maybe they should rename it to ' First original only blank page detection '.

Actually it should be called "Hey dummy you put your single sided originals in upside down".
