    PCU for MP 2550

    Have some Aficio MP 2550's in field. Can you use the Aficio 1027 Pcu in the Mp2550?

      Yes it is possible to use the 1027 pcu
      i have had copy quality issues with compatible drums
      i always use original drums in the mp2550 range

          You can us the 1027 PCU, but you'll need to do a manual developer initialisation since the model doesn't automatically detect a new PCU. Like Elmo mentions: always use OEM parts if you rebuild the 2550 PCU.
