Ricoh Aficio 2018 - to clean dirty pages

Recently I replaced the empty toner cartridge by re-filling it with Ricoh Toner and re-inserting it. However when I began to photo-copy the reverse side of copies were dirty - The copies were good, but the reverse side of each page had lines of toner and smears. What do I need to do to clean and prevent?

In the first place, ricoh toner bottles are not re fillable, just take out the used bottle and put in a new one, so now I think you need a tech and some money for a new developer and toner and labor hours.

In-f*king-credible! I get this story at least once a month. i.e "it worked in our last machine" or " this stuff was cheaper" etc.

imind is right ricoh toners are not recommended for refilling you might have used another toner type or duplicate one. In my experience i always recommend usage of genuine consumables.
Go back to your 2018 bring a vac cleaner & clean tx'fer roller and dr cleaning unit buy a new developer & toner. this might solve the prob.

Neil dont encourage him. He has already screwed up his machine and needs a tech. If he had the slightest idea what you just said to him he wouldn't be in the pickle he's in now.

I think that the consensus is clear: You have contaminated developer and a contaminated tx roller (among other stray toner now in the machine.)

You asked what to do to clean it? You need to thoroughly clean out the entire toner area, toner hopper, etc, and change out the developer. You may need to clean the drum area too.

You also asked what to do to prevent it? Well, I would make sure that you do not mix or combine toners from any other bottle. Even a similar machine model from the same manufacturer can have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CHARACTERISTICS between one bottle and another. I would be careful in the future and install the correct bottle.

The other downside to doing this, not just poor copy quality, is to have a ton of excess toner pulled out of the dv and puked inside the whole drive section, etc.
