Re: Counter per User problem
On the printout that you attached there are two different uses of the term "other".
If you are referring to the line above Total Sum, it is those prints made for which there was no User Number. This means that the machine is configured to where User Number is not required for printing.
If you are referring to the columns on the top printout, it is all paper sizes other than A3/DLT. -

Re: Counter per User problem
NO THEY DO NOT. Did you even look at the counter printouts that mun5073 attached. Nearly 90% of the B/W prints were made by other. Printer User Code Authentication is set to allow jobs to be printed without a user code. Been there, done that.Comment

Re: Counter per User problem
Mainframe printing I think will show as "other", as well. (UNIX, AS400, SAP, etc...), as the jobs (normally) come through without any sort of ID.“I think you should treat good friends like a fine wine. That’s why I keep mine locked up in the basement.” - Tim HawkinsComment

Re: Counter per User problem
Stick with Slimsbob and KenB on this one.
In User Authentication Management there are several options for restricting/accounting for print usage.
If print authentication is enabled and the method is PC Control print jobs can be printed without authentication dependant on driver settings.
If Simple All is selected, if the print job is submitted using a Ricoh driver, authentication is required, no authentication is required using either host printing or using a non Ricoh driver.
If Simple limitation is selected hosts submitting print jobs within the specified IP ranges do not require authentication, those outside of the range require authentication.
Is Entire is selected all print jobs require authentication.
An authenticated job will increment the associated counter, jobs that are not restricted will increment the 'Others' counter.Comment
