    7145 (adonis)

    Hi Guys,
I have one of these machines out with an lct, its done 1.6 million copies and when printing i get a jam at relay sensor 1 every 20 copies or so, it does not seem to do it from trays 1 and 2, replaced feeds (lct) and still no joy, any ideas? i have also replaced the transport clutch too with no avail.

    Cheers

I'm not exactly sure on the cross-reference, but I'm thinking it's a 45cpm (ricoh 450 or 1045 eq) model. Anyway, isn't there a torque limiter in the LCT?

When you say you're getting a relay sensor jam, is there paper there, multiple sheet, no sheets?

If it's not going it from drawers 1 & 2, it sounds as though you can isolate it to the LCT or guides or something from the LCT and up to the reg. roller.

Thanks for the prompt reply, yes it seems ok from trays 1 and 2 , there is paper on the relay sensor and one on the bridge and finisher, but not one in the fuser, it seems as if the paper is slightly late from lower feed (lct) also i cleaned the lct clutches as they were filthy. going to go with the blanket approach and exchange the lct and relay guides and poss sensor, luckily a few spare machines are about.

the smc is slightly differnt and it gives you jam counts i could not remeber seeing a jam code as such like on the copier adonis (this is a printer) and after resseting the jam count i showed upper relay sensor jams

This is gonna sound a little off, but stay with me to the end. Try shimming up the far right of the LCT with paper. I've had some people move the machines with out disconnecting or sit on the LCT's and it whacks out the alignment of the paper going into the machine.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

I have had alot of problems with the metal paper guide which swings up from the reg roller when you open the fuser - drum door on the right, they are a bit funny to replace, but solve alot of jam problems. They get worn on high milage 35/45's, and cause funny jams from lower draws and lct trays.

              Regards,

              Matt
