    MP2851

    HI,

Got a real problem that returns after +/- 12K
Copy and prints are getting grey after this cycle of 12K
Everytime changed the complete PCDU unit, also cleaned the laser last time.

Ands again, customer complains about the fact that the text is not as black as it was before.
    total counter is 450.000

    Anyone a tip here . .

    Thanks in advance

Weather you install the 1027 pcu, use and OEM one, or rebuild the current one my only thought is your not doing SP2801 to initialize the developer so it works for a bit but will crap out way early. Also may want to check when the last transfer roller was installed if your guys are like ours no one ever replaces it on pm intervals they tend to last quite a while but fading and white blotches are caused by poor transfer as well.

My only other thoughts would be is what is the customers output on that machine, it is a large output machine I believe its monthly average is pretty high but the 1027 pcus were designed for lower volume machine so if that is what your installing that could be your problem. If your using the oem pcu with oem developer and doing the initialization is the toner hopper working properly are all the plastic mylars still attached in the hopper unit maybe a 1 or two fell off and now its not keeping up with toner usage. Light copies is usually transfer, pcu, or toner related. Grey or washed out can be poor mag roller or ruined gears in the developer unit.
