    MPC4000

    HI

Got this weird problem on a MPC4000 !
Customer called for problems/jams on paper tray1
So I replaced the complete pickup unit-tray 1
After that, it contiunues gives an error on the front door !!
Indicates that the door is open, but the switch is working well (checked SP5803-39)
Even disabled 5508-03 (initiating a call)

When I replaced the pickup unit, the power was on and I had some trouble with
the connector . . . . . could this perhaps trigger a shortcut in the board?
And if so, is it in the BICU board or Controller.

Someone a clue or tip here, given me a headache

    Thanks in advance

Is the switch Actuator on the duplex inner front cover broken by any chance?

you should also see the'' blown fuse condition'' in service manual.

Check for blown fuse in PSU.
Put back the old Paper feed unit ,If that doesn't help try swapping the BICU or Controller.

UNPLUG the Machine when u have to do anything with 5v,12v,24v.

        I won't mention the 110 or 220v

noticed that SP5803-39 is not responding !
It is not the switch, looking further now . . .
