    MPC 3300 Toner pump conector

I Changed a yellow toner pump and the clip that the connector goes in was broken so I pulled it from the frame and of course the conector from the back pulled loose. just wondering if there was an "easy" way to reatach the the conector from the back without taking the entire machine appart and if not what units need to be taken off to get to it.

Thanks for any input or advice

You are most likely going to have to remove the entire drive assy ( done this many times before due to gear failure). Its a big job with a lot to remove. First time it took me about 4 hours all up, now after a few dozen jobs I can complete it all in just over 2 hours. You should probably look at the drive replacement section of the manual, there is a setup procedure for "drum phase" that I have found wise to complete - otherwise you may end up with sc380 codes after.

    Good luck.

There is no easy way or a trick to solve this problem , the only way is the difficult one

Ok so i finally got an appointment to go back to this machine, got the clip put back on and still having the same problem as before. No toner black no toner yellow ( the two pumps i replaced ) the cyan and magenta seem to be reading fine on the %. so i did an output check and i get no " click " from the 2 brand new ones so i tried the other 2 and nothing. So would this be a bad board???

Check connector CN237 on the board. Maybe a loose harness.

Doesn't necessarily sound like the issue here, but did you also replace the tube between the pump and where it hooks on up by the toner bottle? (This tube comes with new toner pumps). I have known techs to take a short cut and not replace the tube. (IMO, it should be replaced because it can be clogged).

You didn't by any chance install C2500 or 3500 pumps did you?
I'm not sure if they even fit properly on the C3300, but I made the mistake some time ago and installed a C2500 on a 3500 thinking they were the same. They aren't, and there was no "click" either.
You did install the proper D029-xxxx pumps for the C2800/3300?

I've never (as in NEVER) replace the tubes, only Vaccum. But when its said I reside in Denmark and the copier "lives" a rather temperated life. Could be otherwise in higher temperatures.
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

It could be a climate issue. I have known some to get burned by not replacing them around here however. I don't know how much of a role heat may play in clogging or not or perhaps humidity could be the bigger factor.

For us, it doesn't take much more effort to swap the whole thing out and not have to deal with "ok, why isn't this working now?" in the case of a clogged/restricted tube.

Obviously it doesn't happen often, but then again, it wouldn't take often for it to happen before changing your mind about replacing the tube vs cleaning.

Sometimes the clutches in the new tonerpumps need contact cleaner to Work - had several op these error on new pumps.
