    [Jamming] MPC 8002

    Hi

I have an MPC 8002 and it seems to jam all the time in the duplex unit, not the turn around section but the flap the falls in the middle. When I remove the paper it feels like its stuck with static and as the duplex unit is right underneath the fuser unit, I wondered if the heat can be the cause and any open else had this.

The jam's are all the same, one just going into the fuser, one sticking out of the registration roller and a couple going down to the duplex unit and this one stuck with static in the middle section.

Maybe I am looking to much at the wrong place but I can't think and checked sensors and all seems fine. Also changed feed tyres as I know this can be a problem with experience.

    Many thanks

    Tim

There is a mod for this, don't have details to hand but I believe it has something to do with the colour of the mylar/antistatic strips in the duplex path.
You can order the complete plate or just the strips of mylar. Will try to find details.

RTB No.: RD135044a : Paper Jam 30/75 / Paper fold

Lots of mods for early versions of this box, including new exit unit and PSU.
Please start you post with brand, model, problem.

PSU replaced due to going down, not looked at the exit unit yet. Its funny that they make new problems with the machines when the 7501 duplex worked fine.

          Thanks for the update.
