    ricoh 6003 fiery issues

I've been working on a e-22c fiery that's been giving me intermittent problems. It will say out of paper and then won't print, it eats the job, have a problem with video board, not at same time but frequently. I've reloaded system and all patches. I've replaced hdd and then redid sys again. Any suggestions

What's the line voltage from the outlet the thing is plugged into like? If it is not great, stupid and wrong things can happen. Especially this time of year. Also in the fall.

Fierys should have a small UPS connected to it, to prevent power failures.

Have had similar, saying out of paper, disabling SNMP cured that one. Also had not printing, we found that there was a few users that had loaded PCL6 drivers. Deleted and installed PS drivers, then performed a server clear on the Fiery.

I had a similar problem a few years back.

Check the Fiery job log (you may need to export it to go back far enough) to see if there is any pattern as to when the problem occurs.

In my case, there was a user printing out of CorelDraw (ick) with a very messed up diver. Every time he went to print, the Fiery went nuts.

After fixing his driver issue, the problem disappeared.
