Is there is a way for making a copy for the printer/Scanner SD card so i can install it in another machine "i try the normal copy and by reading /writing programs and failed"
thanks alot
Order a service spare from Ricoh. You will most likely also need to update the memory and definitely need to install a HDD if it does not have one. The Print/Scanner option comes with every thing you need. You most likely can find a used one on line. Just search the product order number found in the Product Support Guide.
I think there is a "secret" hidden sector on SD cards, that you can program with special programmers, that when set, indicate an original card. You can not get a normal SD card reader to program those bits.
Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm having a problem related to this.
A customer of ours had their MP4000B board die out. We replaced the board, but now the machine doesn't print. The odd thing to me is the machine was printing before but there was no SD card present. Could it be that the software was moved from the SD card to the machine? If so, any chance of getting it back?
If any of the above doesn't make sense, how come the machine printed before and not now?

IIRC, the 'B' version of the machine was the 'Basic' model, which required the Print / Scan option to be added, whereas the 'SP' version was the 'Full Featured' model which had print and scan capability natively. If the controller board died then the Print / Scan option more than likely went to the grave with it. Just make sure the SPs for the NIC and print / scan functionality are not 'OFF', though most settings follow the NVRAM.
