    Vetical band on A0 print out

    A format copier ricoh af 240w which am repairing prints a vertical black band line of about 1 to 2 inches,I have serviced the LPH but still the problem is there.Does this machine have a laser unit?I need an urgent help ,thank you.

    Sounds like the corona wire cleaner is stuck in the middle.(it happens) Try cycling the corona wire cleaner in sp mode first. If no joy, the procedure for removal is involved. You need a manual. Lines can also be caused by worn fuser rollers, a dirty scanner glass, fault in the PCU, etc.

      If the LPH is defective it should be white lines not black. MIka is right maybe the charge corona cleaner didn't moved to home position. It is using LPH not laser.
      Nobody is perfect..
