Hi I took a closer look manual and saw procedure for replacing other units(other than black I guess). It said to output the smc logging data with SP5-990-004 and ck counter values.and from there it talked about SP7-804,SP7-853.It gets very confusing and Im lost. Can someone please helpmake this simpler .Im very limited on Ricohs Thanks Andy

Replace the item and then set the corresponding in SP 3701 to a "1" switch device off and then on

Hi Thanks for the help.I replaced the unit and and reset in 3701 and it took.I replaced the yellow drum unit,so I reset the one that said drum unit, there was a reset for developer and the pcu only, but I figured since they are in drum unit, the reset for unit would cover all bases.I hope Im right Thanks Andy

ONLY reset the PCU drum unit, NOT the PCUD unit!!! PCUD = PCU + Dev. If you reset the whole unit, as you did, you also reinitialize an old developer.... Either it works, and your lucky, or you will have to replace the dev unit soon, due to bad print or toner spilling.

Seen as there is only a PCDU available for this device and NOT separate Drum unit and Dev its fine
