    [Error Code] SP3200 melting fusers

    Good afternoon all.

I've got a particular Ricoh SP3200 (yeah, I know, plastic POS) that already has melted together both rollers of 3 fusing units so far.

The machine in question is one of several we have installed (and it only happens with this one) and the firmware is up-to-date (meaning it got the modified firmware that solves this exact same problem when it melted the first unit).

Ricoh sent me a new fuser for troubleshooting, and I'm now going to take a look at it, but I'd like to get some more ideas if there are any.

    Thanks.

The only time I have ever had a machine melt the rollers together is when the customer had been told how to clear fusing errors but was not told to do it only once. They kept resetting the machine and it melted the rollers before the thermostat had a chance to blow.

I couldn't find sp3200, but the sp3300 has a tech bulletin for this issue. I've had this problem in the past and the fix was the PSU, firmware and modification of harness connections. Attached is the bulletin
