    Aficio 450e W/ Mac os 10.5

    Loaded ppd installer and driver.
I try to print and I don't get drawer optionsor duplex.
Machine has PS chip and 32Meg of memory.
I keep hearing firmware but my laptop prints PS from XP just fine.

Firmware or Manufacturer lack of support for MAC?????
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Just out of curiosity could you describe your installation process of the .ppd file? This is not meant to be snide but just to see what was missed and what wasn't. I've seen techs go through the install but in the end they didn't select the proper driver that was just installed. Make sure it's not looking at the "generic" PS driver. Also, if you're at this point make sure that the options have been selected. We won't know where to help you, though, if we don't know were exactly the install went wrong.

You have to go to the options page to add options. I've not installed any 735's but I have done 660's and 260's on Mac's so I assume they are the same.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.

yeah if you don't see any of the options -- you need to go to options and then select installable options and select the finisher for the machine.

make sure that you are not selecting the generic driver make sure it says "Ricoh Aficio 450e PS" I don't think it will let you staple and create booklets because the Post script driver doen'st have that for Mac.

a work around is to print to document server and then do it from the MFP

I got thrown in the middle of this one so I don't know what was installed first.
I am able to pull up the options page in the Aficio 350 PS driver, but when I print I can't select drawers or duplex.
Everything looks like is should work, but doesn't.
Is this machine just too old for the OS?

ok when you selec the printer to print the third option, most of the times it says page layout click on the drop down and that is where you will find all the option for the printer. or you will see something like set1, set2, set3 and so forth each one of the sets has all the features.

            good luck

Turns out that microsoft word was causing the problem.
I printed a PDF from adobe and all functions worked.
              My job is done.
              Thanks for the help.
