what is diferentfrom mp 201
i setup the machine like i do on ricoh mp 201 bu mp 301 dont work
any idea ????

To get scan to email to work, make sure the firmware is the latest, then you need the following info:

Customers SMTP server, (Usually the mailserver of the Internet Service Provider)
You need to make sure the IP address is valid, and the subnetmask and gateway, and also the DNS server. (You can use Google's DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4)

You also need a valid administrators email address (Senders email), set up at the machine, for example: scanner@customersISP.com

if all this is ok, then you should be able to scan to email, unless something is blocked, or they use other ports for SMTP.

You can not assume that the settings that work with one customer, works with another, you have to make sure all the info above is right for THAT customer.
