[Misc] No Interfase Settings/File Transfer buttons

    Hi everyone.

We just adquire a RICOH MP-C2050 but at the time to set the network, the Interfase Settings and File Transfer buttons on the System Settings do not appear.
I check the SP-5985 (Device Setting) and the "On Board NIC" is ON and the "On Board USB" also ON, turn the machine off then on and the buttons do not appear, also format and change HD and nothing........

    Any ideas????

    Thanks in advance!!

Does it have an SD card in slot one on the controller?
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

I ran into this a few years ago. I can't remember the exact details, but it was an admin login issue. I remember it because there wasn't the LOGIN button when I entered USER TOOLS.

SD card has to be in slot 1 for all print and scan operations on all Ricoh product.
          Sounds like you got burned.
          They are serial number specific.

            Hi techsass.

Exactly!! There is no Login button in the User Tools window and pressing the Login/Logout physical button also no good. I just activate the Administrator Authentication Management and turn ON the Network Management (yes, the network does apear in this option) and i was able to change the Admin login and the password but the result was the same, no Network Settings-File Transfer buttons.

            Any other idea??????

Most likely it is the machines security setting. Enable machine administrator, login to user tools and change security level to 1.

I'd go with Slimslob's train of thought. Mine let me in once I turned on UT Admin Authentication - at least I think that was all I did.

Do you see the Printer & Scanner buttons when you enter SP mode?

Try Sp5801-3 SCS. That should re-initialize the User Codes app I think along with a few other UT settings - default output tray, etc.

Hi!! When i enter the SP Mode, only System SP, Fax SP and Printer SP are present, no Scanner SP and the printer appear because it can print via USB. I already executed SP-5-801-003 (SCS Clear) but still the same..........

                          Im running out of ideas.............

                            User Tools
If the login button is not in the upper right corner you will have to enable it.
User Tools - System Settings - Administrator Tools
Depending on the model Administrator Authentication will be on either the first or second page.

                            1. Login as the administrator, usually admin with no password
                            2. System Settings
                            3. Administrator Tools
                            4. Network Security Level will be on the 3rd 4th or 5th page. Select the lowest level.
