Hi all have a machine that keeps coming up replacement of the toner recycle unit any ideas appreciated

normaly you can reset it in sp mode....

Check the recycle system at the back of the machine. It might not turn fast enough due to heavy load or be broken. At the drive dite there's a sensor. (could be dirty)

You will need a special sp mode to reset this condition. (can't remember wich one)

Is that what it actually reads on display? Don't think I have ever seen that exact warning, If machine has a lot of miles on it the sensor is probably dirty (as stated in previous post) undock finisher,remove left lower cover and way down at rear corner where supply coil starts you will see the disk and sensor.Hit it with some compressed air and be prepared to do this with some frequency from now on because the seals are shot in the toner bottle unit causing dusting. Don't try to replace seals it is a waste of time, have to order entire Bottle assy. which is major $ and probably not worth it at this point.

You can reset it in SP mode. There is another counter with that one which you should reset at the same time. Can't remember exactly but the counter is either in the 2000 or 5000's

have seen those coils break once or twice but was more of an issue with the old 2090 model...is that drive train turning or bound up?

All fixed thanks, waste coil broken and toner all backed up through machine
