Ricoh 3245c Fax forward to email issue

First I'd like to introduce myself. Names Mike I'm a tech for a company called Gold Coast Technologies based in S.FL. I'm a pro when it comes to most NEC and Konica Minolta machines but Ricoh's are not my strong point which brings me to my issue. I set up a customer for Fax forward to email. The forwarding works great the problem is that when the fax is received its stored in the machine after 30 days or so the machine deletes the old faxes and replaces them with new ones and at the same time prints the old one, the customer does not want these old faxes to print(we have had to credit the customers service agreement every month). Iv been through every setting on the machine I found a few settings that I thought would stop the faxes from printing but they are still printing. Iv been through the user parameter list. Only solution I have is to have the customer log into the interface and manually delete the stored faxes but of curse the customer does not want to do this. ANY help would be appreciated.

Go to User Tools- Fax Features-Administrator Tools-Reception Settings-Then select Print instead of Store and choose OK and that should take care of you.

I will try that, Thank you. Question though will that cause the faxes to print as well as forward or with the forwarding on does that stop the printing. With Minolta's they give you an option if you want to print, forward or print and forward these Ricoh's are not as easy.

It would but you can get around that by going into the User Tools-Fax Features- Administrator Tools-Parameter Settings and change Switch 11, Bit #6 to a 0. Bit switches can be a little tricky but after you get into the parameter settings you will see a list of numbers on your touch screen. Then choose number 11 then you will see a list of numbers with 1 or 0 above them(binary). choose bit 6 then that should toggle the number from a 1 to a 0 and make sure and hit OK to confirm every thing. That will turn off the printing at the machine of the faxes.

Thank you so much. I am familiar with the bit codes and now that you mention it its right there on page 168 of the advanced fax manual "local print when forwarding" thanks again!
