    MP2550 with SC672 code

Already did a search and tried everything I could.
    Disconnected Fax and doc feeder.
replaced HDD, DIMMs, Op Panel, Control Board, fuser and PCU
Tried to boot with no HDD connected as well, still Please Wait and then SC672

    any other thoughts?

Obviously Google says the code is relevant to software issue under the condition of well-connection between Op Panel and Control board physically. If not sure, Open Op panel completely including LCD and its lead connection to the board. Also pay attention pattern of the small red flash lighters(Two) on the Control board. If Very High frequence, the board communication has stalled.

Better approaching, do memory clear. of course A good DIMMs is very important factors to be considered

Now focused on software, Particularly when software issues happened, entering Service Mode should be a little bit fast when power on, Every machine even like Computer or Car, there is Self-Diagnostic Test Sequences, MP2550 sequences like followings:
        1) power on 2) Intialization 3) Memory check for Self-diagnostic test, 4) CPU check, 5) ASIC check, 6,memory check, 7)Program ROM DIMM CRC check, 8) SSCG check, 9 OPC check, 10 NVRAM check, 11 HDD.....

SC672 happened at stage from N0. 4 to NO.10. try to enter service mode or factory service mode before NO. 4. No one knows timing, try several times. Too early, you cannot enter the mode either, because of ignoring. Shortly, enter the service mode code before the SC pop up./

SC 672 is usually a communication error between the controller and the operation panel. You may want to check the cable going to the op panel.

Does that cable interact with the SBU in any way? Seems to me a number of years ago I beat my brains out on a problem very similar to this and it turned out that the SBU had something to do with it.
Then again, I kind of think that was on a LD328c or or even earlier model (the only thing that I am sure of is that was on a newer model than the LD024c), so this might just be so much nonsense. Sorry.

That's OK I'll take anything at this point.
I brought them a loaner and pulled it into the shop today so I can give it a closer look.
