    SPC420 DN - SC491

    Hi Everyone.

    I have a SPC420 that is beating me 6-0!

It was (according to the customer) just moved from one office location to another.

When plugged in it displayed SC491.

We have replaced the black pcu, the complete HVPS rack with both HVPS boards, controller and the complete front door, and still no improvement.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction, as I am out of ideas.

    UPDATE:

We discovered that the customer (somehow) managed to remove the metal contact on the right side frame, that grounds the transfer roller: p/n: G1021129.

Replaced it and machine works like a charm!

Hi Pb, this is a copy/paste from the S. Manual, and you didn't mention anything about at your actions.
How was the resite of the printer? An accident maybe?

"• One of the separation bias output, development
bias output and transfer belt cleaning bias output is
shorted or one of the transfer belt bias output for [K]
and transfer roller bias output is shorted.
    • Power leaking
    • Defective connection"

Thanks for the feedback. We managed to fix it in the meantime, after following all the recommendations in the service manual - which pointed us in the right direction but with a twist. Please see the update in the original post.

      Thanks again for your input.
