SP8200DN cannot print double sided

Hi guys

This is probably an easy one but I'm not too clued up with this model. I can't print double sided on this machine, the configuration page says that the duplex is unavailable. There is a hard drive on the machine and I formatted it as well, I downloaded the correct driver and selected duplex print, I'm using a word document and trying to print 2 pages on 1 but when I try to print duplex it keeps printing 2 single pages. I also turned the duplex on. Any advice? thank you

Add SDRAM as recomended in the user manual, see attachement file.

Can you do any output checks in SP mode on any of the duplex juction gate solinoids or motors? Duplex should only not work when drawing paper from the bypass table. If you cannot it might mean there is a problem on the connection of the duplex to the main machine. Check connections on the right side of the machine (where the loom of the duplex connects to the machine). Something may be damaged or disconnected.

Somethings from UM in the attachements.
Change the setting for "Memory usage" to "Font priority". Maybe this helps.

Duplex tray might be set to OFF for all trays in the Menu settings. Details are covered in the Operators Manual - Software Guide - Using Paper Types that Have Unique Names - Setting User Paper Types to Trays.

First of all printout a configuration page and check the HDD shows there because without hdd machine not capable for duplex printing.

In this model I think you have an option to enable or disable duplex in the operation menu. Did you check on that?

Ok guys, I have tried everything you all suggested, I changed the RAM, put a 256Mb ram. I did an output check on every part in the duplex unit, it is all working. Spooling is off by default, frame priority is on by default. Duplex is enabled. HDD is showing on the config page as well as the ram. I changed the BICU and controller but still nothing, however, when I print the SMC on both sides it prints fine. I downloaded a PCL6 driver and enabled duplex on the driver but it still doesn't work. I have a feeling it could be the firmware because I tried printing double sided on another machine with NO hard drive or RAM with the same driver and it worked! oh and the reading isn't changing no matter how many prints I make even after I changed NV RAM the reading doesn't change.

Did u enable duplex at printer properties/accessories at printer and devices on start menu?

Disable "Virtual printer" and "Auto Continue".
Try to print by another printer driver - PCL5e and/or PS3.
