    printing problem by win7

    Dear All,

Two days back I install Ricoh Aficio 1022 in a office where 10 user have to use that printer.
Printer works fine for 9 user but we face problem from one user when print sent from his system data light on machine blink and status shows waiting and then job is deleted without print any page.
That user having windows 7 although other users also have windows 7 whose working fine and I use same driver.
    Kindly guide me.

I would check the port and make sure it is he IP address of the copier and not WSD port.

I check reply from copier by pinging machine IP.
I use standard tcp/ip port in driver

For what it is worth, you may wish to also ask this question here:

I'm kind of curious about the programs on the computer that is having the problem. If the data light flashes on the Aficio 1022 when that computer tries to print, that means data from that computer is received by the Aficio 1022, so I would guess the Aficio 1022 and the network are probably not at fault.
The one possible way I can think of that the Aficio 1022 might be at fault is that it is a pretty old machine, and it may not understand print data from the newest of programs. Even then, if you can find the difference between the nine computers that work and the one that doesn't you should be able to fix this.

Are these users printing directly, or are they setup for user codes?

Access control and Access mask should both be set to 000.000.000.000. If they are not, the computer could have an IP Address that does not fall with the access mask range.

Seems like old copiers still works on 9 of 10 computers! :-D

It's an very old model, what driver are you using, and did you try the latest firmware available for that model?

What program is the user printing from, on what OS?

Other computers have windows 7. Windows 8. Operating system.
Any print job sent from that system first go on waiting and then delete without any printout.

If the drivers are installed locally and if the port is set to raw try changing it to lpr with a queue name of lp on the pc that isnt printing.

On the computer that cannot print to the 1022, can it print to other network printers? It could be that the firewall is blocking TCP/IP printing. I have seen this a couple of times with McAfee and a few other security suites. The first time a print job is sent after installing the security suite the firewall pops up a dialog box asking if it should allow TCP/IP printing. The user see the firewall box and clicks block without even reading what it is asking.

                          All systems connect through WiFi.
Today I directly connect 1022 through cross cable to that system for testing purpose and it works fine.
But on WiFi status is same and we have to install that on WiFi.

Looks like it is a setting on that computer's wifi interface. If it is an internal wifi or a USB wifi adapter, you might want to try an external wifi interface such ad the Netgear WNCE2001. I use them when I need to put a MFP on a wireless network. Much less expensive than what Ricoh want for their internal wireless interface.
