mp1600 cant put adress for scan in web browser

Hi,

I send one MP1600 to one client and he far from my town and ask me to put the machine on network to print and scan but the strange is when i go to browser i can put the name, code and functions availables but dont shows me the parts to put the folder adress amd also email.
i already check the admin and all looks ok.
i ask the client to press the scan button direct on machine and is working.
the printer is working without any problems.
Any ideia?

That's Because it is a TWAIN Scanner

the machine is conected with network cable and not with usb cable.

Are you sure the machine is a SP model with GW controller?
It could be a LN model with network interface and only Network twain driver.

the machine is SP... you can active the scanner pressing the button on machine and shows activated.

Had this issue myself a few years ago. The Print/Scan SD card was in the wrong slot. In fact, I just duplicated it with an MP 2500 here in my shop - although this machine also shows an 'address book error' message, but otherwise the behavior is the same as yours

If it is a MP 1600L then Bantams is correct. It needs to be a MP 1600 SPF in order to have scan to folder and scan to email. TWAIN scanning does not use the address book. It is a pull scan from the computer. It requires a software with TWAIN scanner support. I do not know if there is an upgrade path from the DDST controller to the GW controller.
