Broken sub-hopper or toner supply motor.

Thanks for the reply, how can i tell which is the problem, when i open the right side the cylinders are all spinning, not sure where the sub-hopper is? Is there a way to manually force the black drum to take toner?

Lift the top cover. Cheat the switch with something small and heavy. Try and run the bottle motor in output mode. If it doesn't turn, the hopper auger is broken, the motor has failed or the IOB has failed.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Are you using Ricoh toner? Sometimes non OEM toner will work at first, and then unexpectedly start doing stupid and wrong things later.
          Something to think about.

Thanks for the reply, the last toner set we bought was off ebay, and i believe were refills, the black shows almost empty when its actually full, probably the computer chip needs to be changed

Yes, it's a ball ache. I wouldn't recommend trying it yourself as you have to tear the living shit out of the machine. If you need this fault properly sorting with correct OEM parts, call a tech.

The machine has noticed the toner concentration in the developer is too low. Now is the time to call a tech.

Transfer belt contact mechanism error I think.
