Mpc 3503 No printer function after firmware update

Lost the printer feature after updating the firmware,my printer firmware was only partially downloaded (Discovered this after the event) Anyway tried again with just the printer firmware on the sd card -get no valid data,and on the screen & message on the op panal-" prt exp module authenication failed",no printer,pcl rpcs on the diagnostic sheet.
Any way to force the printer firmware on to the device or is it new controller time? Ordered one anyway

That's an interesting update failure, didn't think any corrupt .fwu modules would be recognised if the checksum failed.

It might be worth placing an support call with Ricoh and ask if there is an forced firmware update / recovery procedure like on the earlier 1st gen MPC models.
