understand this to be tray 1 lift motor error on finisher which cold be paper height sensor out of position as a more likely cause. Please advise if lift motor or finisher main board problems are likely/unlikely. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

Check the connections to the shift tray motor or it maybe the motor itself is defectiveLive for yourself and you will live in vain. Live for others, and you will live again -
Re: Aficio mp c5501 error sc750
If there is nothing interfering with the movement of the shift tray up or down, then replace the motor. First though just cycle power. If the error does not come back, there is a chance that the customer had a desk, table, file cabinet of tall waste setting where the tray came down on top of it.Comment

Re: Aficio mp c5501 error sc750
depending on the finisher, the shift tray can be pushed one notch too high, unable to recover because the sensors do not react as expected.
remove the back cover and drive gear to move the tray downwards a bit, then reattach and retryComment
