ricoh c2800 problems after change black developer

hi everyone
i had an c2800 with quality issues with black (white lines) i clean the developing unit and add new developer and install a new drum, so far so good, print a full page of c,m,y,k and color and texture where OK, but after one day of work magenta began to fail sometimes, and now only print black and magenta no yellow or cyan, and yellow appear to be overtoned and fails the ACC and the color registration. i already clean the ITB.

so what's the exact problem? no copy, lines or background?

only prints black and magenta, no yellow, no cyan

print the test page page from printer sp. if no cyan and yellow check the itb unit, maybe the rollers are out of position.

well, rollers appears to be fine. but the belt seen a little worn, anyway I'll check the latent image on drums before order a new belt. thanks.

You might check the laser shield. Not the glass, but the mechanical shield. In old units like that one, you get some crazy print quality (particularly deletions) due to the shield not getting out of the way of the laser. You can remove it easily from the left side of the machine off the laser unit to test the theory, if that fixes it, just leave it off.

Also called the shutter plate. It is a metal plate on top of the laser unit. A lot of techs like to remove it entirely. If you do, remove only the plate. Leave the motor or solenoid the moves it in place.

HI, shutter plate removed, same problem, i print the the test page and open the front cover 12sec after the process began, and then check the latent image on drums and voila there was the image, so the problem is on the ITB, observing with careful i note that the belt was way out from drums, check mech and note that don't work?? anyone have seen this before.

If it's the ITB, you can order/replace it with the printer supply item instead of ordering service parts (supply item 402717 ) my parts guy says its cheaper too. It's the entire ITB uniy and it comes with a cleaning unit too.

So why don't you get another ITB unit from another machine just to test the theory and confirm where the problem lies.
