    Lanier LD 190 User Code

Hello, I am a wholesaler and I have a couple LD 190's that are set up with user codes and I cannot seem to reset them. I went into sp and could not find a way to clear them. Anyone know what menu that is under or a way to bypass the user code. Any help would be much appreciated.

Look around 7810 and you can clean the main code. That will let you go in and shut off the others.

I think it's somewhere under user tools, system settings, administrator tools, maybe address book management.
Don't take that toner with me!

Got into address book management, but how do i disable the user code? It was at a school and there are like 1000 users on the machine. I would like to disable the user code. Thanks for your help.

They may have moved the admin setting from 7-810, which is weird. It's been there for many years.

Anyway, now that you can access the key op setting, you should just be able to go into address book management and enable/disable the user codes with one button. The codes will still be in there, they just won't affect the machine usage.

I thought you could not access them at all (without having a key-op code.)

It should be on the same screen as user code management on-off.

If you press the user tools/counter button then press and hold the # key while you press the system settings button on the control panel, this will enable the factory reset on the system settings. You should get a confirmation something like "are you sure yes/no." This should reset the user codes back to the default setting of off.
