    Ricoh MPC4503 Can you still modify an older drum unit to install on the 4503?

      Nope - totally different dimension of the drum/housing etc...

      Someone mentioned it is possible to do some kind of col/bk conversion with the metis BK drum units but there are no detailed instruction. From what I've checked I can say it must be way more complicated because the differences between COL/BK units has been improved. The only way I see is to strip the parts of a BK drum and use it to refurbish a COL drum - can't say ore shure though.

          As Gift mentioned that's what I have been doing.

          I only ever order K drums and rebuild the colour PCU's with the K drum components.

          Yes while it does take longer, the cost saving is massive

          I still do not understand how and why they price things, makes no sense really....
