    MPC6000 with error SC308

Last week changed black drum and cleaner blades etc. machine running well but call from customer this morning with sc308 which is corona cleaning motor code. Please advise. Is there a connector on this unit i may have forgotten to reconnect? Will look in SM +PM in the meantime. Thank you for your assistance. Frank/ActionPhotocopy

    Re: MPC6000 with error SC308

The corona cleaner for the black charge unit is driven by a gear on the back of the charge unit. If the gear is missing or there is a bind in the corona cleaner assembly, the error will occur. Normal function of corona wire cleaner units is that the motor will drive forward until the load on the motor increases due to reaching the end of the unit. The motor then reverses and drive the unit back to home position. Increase load upon reaching home position turns the motor off. If it completes too soon or to late the error will occur.

Thank you Tim. I had noticed that I had broken off one of the 2 plastic studs that the charge corona is seated on when I removed it. Don't know if that would effect the seating position of the corona enough to disturb movement of cleaner. I had to cause this problem as machine has been running consistently for a while with exception of inferior quality due to black drum unit. I would say the unit was a mess. Frank
