I forgot my ATM pin bank account. What can I do? Nobody is goin to believe it so lets be serious. Check threads on the forum as there are at least 3 different solutions.

Failing that, looks like you're going to have to replace the NVRAM

Normally the password is no password at all for both. If you can log in as supervisor you can change the admin password to whatever you want.

for Supervisor for many models its supervisor in all caps for both user and password and like posted earlier only lets you reset the admin credentials. if that doesn't work message me and i'll get you in to reset it with the mode we dare not mention.

nope not wrong, not for supervisor. not sure on how many machines or of what era(don't think i've had to reset any since the remodeled 02series).......all caps supervisor for both is the supervisor password is the way in........won't say all machines. I've personally used it on several occasions once IT has changed WIM user/pass and forgot or moved on and not told replacement/or during refurb of offlease equip. once again the supervisor settings only allow you to reset admin user/pass. If that has been changed as well then only factory mode and I think SP5846-46ish will reset all those settings

sorry dude, i'm not toally wrong on this one...........but thanks for being an asshole

well maybe i'm wrong, don't think so, but maybe

mostly all i see WIM credentials posted are admin with no password, when(showing my age) if you go back just a few generations the login was either sysadm or admin and the password was sysadm or password before sticking with admin and no password. we still have a lot of those older generation machines out there that i've had to make print or scan on win7,8,10 without firmware upgrades or SSL or drivers and the at onetime IT guy or key operator that last managed the customers WIM address book has left/forgot/died or whatnot. before i factory mode reset it to get in i go through the traditional route of getting in as supervisor. maybe i've gone senile and left caps lock on and held shift down while entering the username and just never pushed tab for the password before hitting enter........its possible. I think at the moment we have 6 2027's sitting awaiting demo or export in our warehouse if anyone wants a vintage 10-15yr old ricoh classic that do have passwords for the password if anyones interested.

I have to agree with mika and sandman, I have never encountered a model that use upper case for supervisor or admin. There were a few early models that used the word password as the password for admin some used ricoh and some used savin. If a machine has upper case for anything, then someone has changes it.

Lurking? is that what its called when i haven't needed anything or damn near forgot i signed up? i had 20min to kill at end of day and seen link in my favorites and decided to see current threads. A few of my other tech's use these forums when i stick to the tsrc forum. not quite as much malice on it, but its more heavily moderated and it seems Ricoh knows who we are or so I'm told when regional rep stops by. If i hadn't signed on for email notifs for replies to threads i've joined i wouldn't know about you. for as my copytechnet rep goes? are you serious? as you say i've been in the shadows for 2 years do you think I give 2 shits? after this weekend it may be another 2years before i open the link and you can continue to be an asshole and building your copytechnet rep.

will admit the machine i thought i was dead on about the 2027 i was wrong about.

It's the only older machine i tried, but supervisor and no password WILL NOT gain you supervisor access either. It's not what any of us mentioned. I'd guess that the generation of 5500/3010/4500 and up would be supervisor and no password would work for all. Older than that i'd say its gonna be a mixed bag. Not sure we've needed to break into 03models
