    On an MP 3554 what is the difference between the the DOS the comes standard with the machine and the one you can order 416372?

    *3 Data Overwrite Unit is standard. This is an option for those who require Common
    Criteria DOS Function before the Mainframes obtain it

      The add on allows for ISO 15408 certification and grants a higher level of security than just the onboard overwrite since it grants an additional safeguard against the potential disabling or altering of the core OS which could limit, or disable, the built in DOS. Unless you're dealing with classified or other highly protected information, the onboard overwrite should do the job.

        I've noticed that there are different product codes and types i.e. 415681.
        Are there any differences?
